Metro Pets NYC has been in business since January 2007.

Yes! Metro Pets NYC and its staff are fully insured and bonded.

 

How many dogs do you walk at a time?

Our dog walks are private, one-on-one.

 
Can I meet my Pet Care Specialist before the start of service?

Yes, we will arrange a complimentary “Pup-Family Meeting” where you will meet your Pet Care Specialist and a member of our management team.

 

What are your Office Hours?

Office hours are 8am-8pm. We are available 365 days per year and pride ourselves on our speedy response time. You will always be able to speak to a member of our management team!

 
Who are the people that Metro Pets NYC employs?

The Metro Pets team is comprised of a group of carefully screened individuals who have a sincere love and compassion for animals. Our team is experienced and educated. All of our pet care specialists are employees. We do not employ subcontractors. After passing a background check, newly hired team members shadow a senior walker for multiple weeks before handling a dog on their own. Each and every individual who is invited to join our team truly embodies our sentiment towards animals.

 

Will I have the same Pet Care Specialist each and every visit?

Yes! Your pet will be assigned the same Pet Care Specialist to take care of them each day. In the event your primary walker is unavailable, you will be notified and have the opportunity to meet the team member who will be covering ahead of time. We will never send someone new into your home without your knowledge.

 

Will my walker arrive the same time everyday?

We request a 1-hour walk window that will be agreed upon before the start of service. For example, if you would like a 12:30pm walk, the walker may arrive anytime between 12pm-1pm.

 
Do you have a minimum requirement for walks?

To reserve a time slot, we require a minimum of 4 walks per week at recurring days and times.

What is your cancellation policy?

Clients are allotted 12 free cancellations per quarter (per time slot). Cancellations must be submitted by 10pm the night before via Pet Check. 

 

What areas do you service?

Our walking services are available to residents living in the borough of Manhattan.

 

What forms of payment do you accept?

Metro Pets accepts Visa, MasterCard and Discover and collects New York State sales tax of 8.875% on all pet care services. Credit Cards will be automatically charged every Sunday evening/Monday morning for the week that has just passed. Clients will receive a detailed invoice via email.

 

What is your policy during inclement weather?

When the weather poses a safety risk such as thunderstorms, severe heat (over 90F) or severe cold (below 32F) outside time will be limited and the remainder of the appointment will be spent playing inside.
